The PHIS project aimed at increasing the level of knowledge and exchange of information on pharmaceutical policies, in particular on pricing and reimbursement, in the European Union. This was achieved by surveying and monitoring pharmaceutical health system information in the in-patient and out-patient sector from a public health perspective, and by developing key pharmaceutical health indicators which may be included in a European Health Information System. The PHIS project ran from September 2008 to April 2011 (32 months).
